We visited The Melt with a group of friends and had a pretty good experience overall. The place has limited seating and is self-serve only, so be prepared for a casual, no-frills dining setup. The Three Cheese Grilled Sandwich and Tomato Soup were definitely the highlights—rich, flavorful, and exactly what you’d want from a classic comfort food combo. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were decent but didn’t stand out, and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich was okay but not particularly memorable. If you’re craving a solid grilled cheese and soup, this spot is worth a visit.

I had no expectations coming into this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and atmosphere. I loved that you can place your order yourself using tablets at the entrance. The space was clean, and they offer plenty of vegetarian options. What really stood out to me was the ability to customize every ingredient in your burger through the ordering interface, even adding extras if you want. It’s like building your own burger from scratch—super convenient! The food was delicious, and the garlic fries were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

The Melt in Sunnyvale is a classy take on the classic burger joint, perfect for when you’re in the mood for something a little more upscale. I decided to sit outside for a few minutes to figure out my order and was pleasantly surprised by their outdoor seating area—it’s not only well-heated but also equipped with screens playing live sports for some added entertainment. Their menu is extensive, which made it tough to decide. A standout feature is their option to replace any burger with an Impossible patty, which is great for vegetarians. They also offer a variety of sides and drinks, adding to the appeal. When I asked the server for recommendations, he wasn’t able to narrow it down, simply saying “everything is good.” So, I went with the Impossible Spicy Mission Burger, garlic parmesan fries, and a soda. The food arrived quickly and was well-presented. The burger was delicious with just the right amount of spice, though the fries could have used a stronger garlic flavor. Still, they weren’t bad. While it’s a bit pricier than your average burger spot, The Melt delivers on quality and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a fancy burger experience in Sunnyvale, this is a great choice.
