I’ve lived in the Orlando area my entire life, and I am just now trying Beefy King. I ordered the XL roast beef (rare) w/ cheese, and it was tasty, but didn’t completely blow my mind or anything. Seemed like a fairly standard amount of meat to me, and the cheese (which they claim is a blend of several cheeses) basically tastes like white American. It’s fairly inexpensive so I would say it gives solid value for the money if you want a quick bite that’s better than a fast food burger, but I don’t think it’s much beyond that. Toasting the buns I think could really take the enjoyment up a notch, but after doing it the same way for over 50 years, I tend to doubt they’ll be making that change anytime soon lol. Kinda want to rate it 3 stars but giving it a bonus star because it has local historical significance and because my dad used to speak fondly of it.

I finally got a chance to check this place out. It definitely has kept its charm as it has an old school look. I have heard a lot of good things about it. The staff was very helpful as I told her it was my first time. She pointed out the most popular orders. The food was served quickly. The inside was packed. I order my food to-go. I found the food to be good, but it wasn't anything that I would drive out of my way for.

I recently tried Beefy King and it was a tasty fast food experience. The roast beef sandwich was really fresh and juicy - you can tell they slice the meat right before serving. The onion rings were a standout side dish - crispy, golden, and not too greasy. I liked all the sauce options they had to go with the food. The tater tots were good too. The place has a simple menu but they do those classic items well. It's a no-frills spot with a retro vibe, perfect for a quick, satisfying meal.
