I like this place. They are consistently good. Nothing has been off for us. I went when they opened during the pandemic in 2021, and just recently, and they were just as good. Love their Chicago style regular size hot dog, as well as the Italian beef sub. I'm actually kinda glad I live 25 mins away, or I might eat here a little too often lol. Employees seem to be working hard, getting it done, and keeping the place clean. And everyone has been nice. It's run better than most Florida diners.

Portillo's: Where the calories don't count. Italian beef, fish sandwich, and chocolate cake... I'm officially in a food coma. Send help (and maybe another slice of cake). Before coming to Portillo's we had a full day at Universal so we deserved this dinner at Portillo's! :) This is the first time for me trying out Portillo's coming from west coast Vancouver, BC. My friend was raving about Portillo's so we were inclined to go. I thought they were known for their hotdogs but my friend told me it's the Italian beef sandwich to order. My hubby ordered the Italian beef and he said it's one of the tastiest beef sandwich he's ever had. As I don't eat red meat often I had the fish sandwich and the fish was the flakiest and moist (I know, I said it)! Ok, what is in their chocolate cake? The cake is so airy and fluffy. I can't believe we ordered one to share but I was watching my calorie intake. Oh the agony! I love the interior decor, a classic diner-style with vinyl booths, counter seating, and over-the-top decor. We stayed a little longer just to listen to the staff announcing customer's order for pick up, using the last digit and making a rhyme. For anyone who frequents to this Portillo's location, you know what I mean. :)

We have been wanting to visit this place for a while and we were very surprised when we entered. We were not expecting to see what we saw.. the atmosphere was very invited, upbeat!! Loved it. We had a hard time at first getting to know where to place an order with a real person, we only saw the big screens but we wanted to talk to someone since it was our first time. After a while, we realized we needed to walk all the way towards the end to place our order. Everyone was nice. Food was delicious and time to get the food was reasonable. We will definitely come back and try more of their menu items
