It's fast food but better. The shakes are great. Go with a chocolate malt to satisfy the sweet tooth in you. The burgers are okay and can be had as a lettuce wrap which is a plus. Just nothing special about them other than the ingredients are fresh, but the burger itself just okay overall. The Chicago dog is good and can be hit or miss on being a true garden on the dog versus a wrapped up mess once you uncover it. The chili dog, skip that. It's a hot mess. And the polish, that is something nice. Great link and flavor, but could be just a hot mess once unwrapped sometimes. This was one of those times. Overall. It's a decent place with a fun vibe.

Portillo’s – Great Fries & Classic Chicago Flavors! Had a great meal at Portillo’s, and the food did not disappoint! The fries were amazing—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and definitely a highlight. The burger was delicious, though it had a bit of that frozen patty taste, but it was still enjoyable. The Polish hot dog was solid, flavorful, and well-prepared. The real standout was the Chicago dog—a very interesting combination of toppings that came together perfectly for a delicious bite. If you’ve never had one before, it’s definitely worth trying! Overall, a fun spot with good food and a great place to get a taste of classic Chicago flavors!

I love Portillo’s…. But I’ve never been a fan of this particular location. From the start it’s never been kept up, the employees are very unenthusiastic and the food just isn’t up to par compared to other locations….but we still go here on occasion when we visit Busch Gardens since it’s right around the corner… this is probably our last time though as I’d rather go out of my way to go to one of the other 2 locations in the Tampa Bay Area. Tonight we walked in and the place is dead as usual…. Service was extremely slow even though there was almost nobody there….i had rotting tomato's on my hotdog, you know they’re rotting when you touch them and they’re gooey and just swish apart. The restaurant was quite dirty almost every table was dirty. The trash cans outside were overflowing with garbage… but the absolute worst thing I saw and was what made me make my mind up was the fact that I went to the restroom…and 2 employees came out of the stahls and didn’t wash there hands before leaving….thats is 100% unacceptable and totally disgusting!!!! Portillo’s…. YOU ARE IN HIGH NEED OF QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS AND ENFORCEMENT for this location!!
