We stopped in Springfield during a long road trip and saw there was a Made-Rite and had to stop since we’ve had it before other areas of the country. The food, drinks, and service was wonderful, but what really made my day was the history on the place! I couldn’t believe that this building was one of the original franchises and on the National registry of historical places built in 1924. They also hold the claim as the first drive thru restaurant!

Great experience here. Took our three kiddos in and the place was great. Staff very friendly. Feels like an old school burger joint. Menu is simple. We got one of everything. The samwiches are great, fries good, was impressed w chili and curds. Portions are honestly how Americans should be eating vs. how much they want. Would recommend and willl definitely return. It is worth checking out if you’re in the area vs. eating at a franchise

I live in this neighborhood about three years never have time to try it. When I available that I tried the good, and I strongly recommend the root beer and Maid-rite and fries.
