I love these kinds of places: lively, friendly, and unique. Your eyes are filled with the endless possibilities of which direction to go the moment you walk in the door. So much to take in - it made me smile from the get-go. The sandwich was delicious - you do pay a little extra for the freshness - but it was well worth it. Quality all the way. I was a little confused about the ordering system, but someone was there to assist me. Once you've done it, the second time will be easy. Would recommend stopping by if you are in the Ann Arbor area.

The sandwiches are amazing. I got Reuben. The bread was unique, and the quality of meat was fresh and great. They make their own candy, shirts, meats, baking books, water bottles, chips... The staff was friendly and nice. This spot is a really well-known.

You walk into an old fashioned deli, with some happy people working the counter, offering samples. Then they have a little store with items to buy and finally you get to the restaurant portion. They have some super sized tablets set up to order from then in another room they have the pickup counter. Lastly they have the sit down area to eat upstairs. I ordered the #02 Reuben ($22) for my Aunt who is a Michigan graduate and brought it home for her. This is Zingerman's corned beef, Swiss Emmental cheese, The Brinery sauerkraut & our own Russian dressing on hand-sliced, grilled Jewish Rye bread. For myself I got the #00 Cuban Conundrum ($21) this is Cuban-style pulled pork, Fra' Mani smoked ham, Swiss Emmental cheese, sliced old dill pickles, mayo & Cuban-style mustard on a grilled Paesano roll. I also got the #23 Mary's Commute ($17) this is our delicious chicken salad (chunks of hand-cut Amish chicken, mayo, onion & celery), Nueske's applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce & mayo on Challah bread. The Reuben was declared to be delicious. The Cuban was excellent, slightly spicy. The Chicken Salad was very good, but a little disappointing. I would get a different sandwich next time. I got their applesauce ($4). It was very good, and obviously homemade. I got a Noodle Kugel ($5), which is Traditional Jewish "pudding" of rich egg noodles from Al Dente, fresh farm cheese from Zingerman's Creamery, plump raisins, cinnamon & a lot of real vanilla. It was very good, but I've had better. Lastly I got a Brownie ($5). It was a good brownie. Overall this cost $90. Ouch. The service was excellent and super friendly. Overall a 5 star review. An excellent Deli and I see why it's so popular. Would I return? Absolutely!
