We were really excited about trying this place out for the first time. It was a gorgeous day outside and we were really craving some really good BBQ so we gave them a shot. The staff was nice enough. The food, very underwhelming and overpriced for what you get. And we sampled as many things from the menu as possible. It was all very dry, overcooked, under seasoned and bland. It's very sad to say that the best thing about this place is the Rosemary bushes outside the building, they smelled really good...

We visited the restaurant around 1:30 PM and were seated promptly despite it being busy, which was a nice start. The service was friendly, and drinks came out quickly, but things slowed down significantly after that. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, which was frustrating. We ordered ribs, pork, and brisket. When the food finally arrived, I was disappointed to find that my 1/3 lb brisket, priced at $25, amounted to just one slice. The brisket was dry, the black-eyed peas lacked seasoning, and the collard greens were overly sweet without any tanginess. The kids seemed to enjoy the ribs, though it’s hard to mess up ribs. My wife’s pork, however, was bland and required a lot of sauce to make it enjoyable. Overall, the experience was okay, but for the price point, there are better and more affordable options nearby.

This place is awesome! Had dinner here for the first time with a friend this weekend, and really enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent: the cheese curds were piping hot, fresh, and delicious, and I could eat those every day. I got the cowboy sandwich, and when I say I'm picky about brisket (I grew up in eastern Texas, where it was a way of life), that's an understatement. I really, really liked their brisket: it was flavorful, tender, and they piled it on that sandwich to the degree that I was shocked - and happily - about the amount of brisket for the price. Fries were good, and the baked beans were awesome. I really don't have a single complaint about the place, other than that if you don't like noise, weekend evenings are probably best to avoid. I will definitely be back!
