Rudy’s hot should be ashamed!!! I got two batches of onions and both of them were super burnt and dried out. I called to ask for a replacement order and the manager claimed they were busy and there was nothing they could do and then hung up on me………. Sidenote we spent over $30

It was my first time trying Rudy's Hot Dogs. It was pretty good! Service was very friendly. Thank you for a very pleasant experience!

I recently visited the Monroe Street Rudy's Hot Dog location, my first time at this particular spot. My past experience with Rudy's wasn't stellar, so I approached with some hesitation. The atmosphere is your classic, no-frills diner – kind of old-school and cafeteria-style, where you order at the counter. The staff, however, were a definite highlight. Super friendly and efficient, they whipped up my order quickly. I went with the chili dog and onion rings. The onion rings were pretty standard – likely frozen – but they were cooked perfectly crispy. The real star of the show was the hot dog itself. Delicious! I especially loved the chili; it had a great flavor. Now, for the downside. The restaurant's cleanliness was questionable. It definitely looked like it could use a deep clean. I understand it's a hot dog joint, and some "greasy spoon" ambiance is to be expected, but this was a bit much. Overall, I'm torn. The food was a definite win – those hot dogs and that chili were excellent. The onion rings were just okay, and the cleanliness was a concern. The friendly and fast service was a big plus. If I go back, I'll probably opt for takeout. Those hot dogs are worth it, but maybe best enjoyed elsewhere.
