You can see them making the bagels with hands! Super cool and very affordable. But their cream cheese bagel has not much cream cheese in it. The girl at the front was rude but all the other staffs making bagels were very nice

The bagels are made in house, amazing wood fire oven, the hallmark wood smoke smell still captivates. However, the sandwich making has become a lost art. We ordered a classic BLT and Reuben, but the bagels weren’t toasted, most of the fillings were on one half of the cut, in short it was more of a soggy mess than I remember. Too bad, for the price I’d expect more from such an iconic brand and location. Seems the place is just rushing to fill all the online orders. Bagels are great. But I’ll make my sandwich at home next time.

Food Safety Concerns at Kettlemans Bagel While Kettlemans Bagel is known for its fresh, Montreal-style bagels, my experience raised some concerns regarding food safety and health regulations. During my visit, I noticed that some employees were handling food without gloves and then touching other surfaces, which raises hygiene concerns. Additionally, the prep area didn’t seem as clean and organized as it should be, especially given the high volume of customers. The bagels themselves were tasty, but I couldn’t fully enjoy my meal knowing that food handling practices didn’t seem up to standard. Another issue was the lack of proper temperature control for certain items. Some of the deli meats and cream cheese toppings appeared to be sitting out longer than they should, which made me question whether they were being stored at safe temperatures. While the food itself has great potential, I hope the management takes food safety more seriously by reinforcing proper hygiene practices and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Until then, I’d be hesitant to return.
