Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

I've been a staunch defender of this Freddie's location, even when they've made mistakes on our orders in the past. At least they were polite about it, and the corrected food was still good. Tonight was different. Every element of our experience was awful. To be fair, when I get bad food but the service is good, I go out of my way to recognize that. No need for it this time. The brunette girl who was handling our transaction was annoyed when I asked what came on the jalapeño pepper jack burger, barely said two words to us when we drove up, slammed the drive thru window shut on us after taking our payment, and thanked us with a terse "here" when handing us our food. The saving grace should have been the food, but it was pretty much inedible. The burger patties were dry from being overcooked and were so salty, I couldn't eat more than two bites of mine. The container of cheese curds was half empty and they were cold and mashed into one greasy lump. The fries were cold and chewy. I honestly wish I was exaggerating. I normally don't post reviews, but I had to speak up this time. There was nothing redeeming about this experience.

Being from Chicago this is a very similar place to Culver’s, which I absolutely love and miss very much! Burgers were well cooked and seasoned! Cheese curds were fresh which made them incredible. Didn’t get to try the ice cream due to being super full but will be returning for that!

It was really nice walking into here for the first time. It gave me and my husband an old school diner vibe. Us being from So Cal it gave us a little bit of nostalgia. We felt very welcomed when we were greeted my multiple team members. It was our first time, and we were really curious to see what was on the menu since a lot of her friends have been gossiping about this place. It was really nice that the young lady behind the counter gave us a recommendation to kind of help us near our decision. I settled for the Cali and my husband got a Chili dog. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was exceptional. It was also really nice at the manager. I believe his name is Jeff and his supervisor in training Richard came to our table and asked how we like everything. He informed us that the cashier told him that they were first time guests, and he wanted to make sure that we lived up to the hype that their friends were gossiping about. It will definitely be back and hopefully next time we can try some of their custards we were just so full And everything was just perfect.
