This is a true American/Texas truck stop, sign says 24/7 truck stop is but restaurant is open 6a-11p. I came in for breakfast and ordered a true Texas staple, chicken fried steak and eggs. For the 14.99 you get a true Texas size portion of hand breaded steak two fluffy biscuits, eggs and hashbrowns. Coffee is stout, and you know the kind, the stuff that leaves a black ring in the cup. This truck stop is old but clean, includes a chrome shop, high flow flow pumps, and grab and go sandwiches and pizza for lunch, and hot breakfast sandwiches for you early risers. Dedicated smoking section for those smokers. Plenty of dirt lot parking in the back. Make this a planned stop on your ride up or down 287. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I stopped here only because we were hungry and needed fuel, and what a wonderful experience it was! My wife is somewhat of a chicken-fried steak aficionado, and she said this was the best she had ever had. I had a sirloin steak, and it was tender and juicy. Their rolls are amazing! If you are in this area, don't be fooled by the exterior because it's pretty bland, but the food and service were awesome!

What makes a costumer service pleasant to you thus make you come back…for sure you don’t need a red carpet place in front of you nor having comfy throne decorated with gold and precious stones,nor a buffet with the best foods for sure all that is beautiful but what makes a customer service excellent is something doesn’t cost almost nothing and is being nice to the client…be kind and respectful,the guy and the mechanic shop is hard,rough and slightly rude you can see he just works there and is not his business so he doesn’t care…
