Finally, a Texas Inn has come to Richmond, and it does not disappoint. A staple in some western VA towns, they bring their unique flair for hot dogs and burgers to RVA. This is the largest TI, a good amount of counter stools, and a few tables. They even have an outside patio. I'm not sure if I've been to a TI before midnight. Usually, it's a last stop after a night out, but we were very happy with our lunch. The staff was a bunch of friendly, wise cracking ladies. Food comes quickly and as it is ready. Didn't get their beans this trip, but they are always good. Love the red hotdogs! Need a quick bite, go try the Texas Inn.

A Welcoming Diner I recently visited this cozy neighborhood diner, and it was just what I hoped for—classic diner fare done right. The onion rings were a standout: crispy, golden, and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it a great place to unwind. Our waitress was genuinely helpful and added to the pleasant vibe of the place. One minor hiccup was that our food didn't all arrive at the same time. My onion rings showed up when I was almost done with my burger, and my friend experienced the same delay. It's a small thing, but worth mentioning. This spot is definitely kid-friendly, so it's perfect for families. What I loved most was the strong community feel—it really seems like a place where locals gather. Plus, the diner was spotless, and the staff were attentive and kind. Overall, if you're looking for a laid-back meal in a welcoming environment with great food, this diner is a fantastic choice!

Great welcome, great atmosphere, simple and chill. As a family visiting the area this place was a really pleasant stop on the trip. We got suggestions, we were asked if we were enjoying the food, and the prices were very reasonable. We even got two pieces of pie. This place had bubble machines parading the small patio as you walked up even. Just a great group of people in a nice quirky college area. I don't know how long they will have this but the refrigerator lemon meringue pie was amazing. Favorite thing!
