Michael's Frozen Custard

Awful experience and rude customer service. We ordered two “cookie jar” sundae’s based off the menu (photo attached) when they came they were peanut butter cookies. I’m pregnant and have not been able to eat much peanut butter. I politely showed them the menu explaining how I thought this came with Oreos… they said they changed the menu and there’s nothing they can do. They wouldn’t exchange or take back the sundae (which we didn’t touch) … I wouldn’t have an issue but we paid $20 for these! That’s a lot of money! They also gave us two different sizes? I was shocked at how rude they were. They closed the window on us. I know there’s bigger problems in the world, but I was so excited for this sundae and just needed to vent. Won’t be going back :(

The frozen custard used to be the absolute best! I have been coming here since I was a toddler (over thirty years) and have even shipped this ice cream when I lived out of state in college. I have taken family bike rides with my own children to get this delicious custard. I would have given Michael’s Frozen Custard a 5 1/2 star review 2 years ago, but I noticed that the recipe changed about a year and an half ago. The silky smooth texture that melted in your mouth is now grainy and the quality in flavor has drastically reduced. I am so sad that I have lost the best custard place in the world. Best in Madison- Custard is amazing and the burgers are delicious. The malts are vastly superior to Culver’s. The location is beautiful too as you can walk down by the lake. Highly Recommended!
